Lazy Wonton Soup

Comforting and lazy wonton soup using Trader Joe’s frozen chicken wontons, miso ginger broth, rice vinegar, sriracha, shredded carrots and green onion!

Lazy Wonton Soup - Dash Of Mandi

This incredibly easy wonton soup is something I eat regularly! It’s hearty, filling, and packed with a ton of flavor. I love how comforting it is this time of year!

I’d consider this one of my “Trader Joe’s” dinners because all of the ingredients can be found there and it’s so SIMPLE. This meal comes together in minutes. You could also add some extra veggies. Sometimes I sauté some shiitake mushrooms and throw them in as well.

Wonton Soup Ingredients

The sriracha is totally optional and to taste. However, personally I love spicy so I do a little extra. I like throwing in the rice vinegar because it adds a tangy flavor. Almost like hot & sour soup.

Notes

*if you want this soup to have lower sodium, swap some of the broth for water. Maybe about 1 cup!

I LOVED THE RECIPE!!! I ADDED CHILI PASTE BECAUSE WE LIKE IT SPICY. TJ’S WAS SOLD OUT OF GREEN ONIONS SO I REPLACED IT WITH CHIVES AND ADDED BASIL. THANK YOU! ANOTHER GREAT RECIPE THAT MY FAMILY LOVED.

Hi. Could you REFRIGERATE and reheat THIS soup or do the wontons fall apart after some time in the broth?

      I haven’t tried so I’m not sure – I’m sorry!
