Juicy and delicious Thai chicken burgers with a creamy & a little bit spicy broccoli slaw! Air fryer and grilling methods provided!

Thai Chicken Burgers - Dash of Mandi

I’m trying to make the most out of grilling season. I’ve been making a lot of homemade burgers. These Thai chicken burgers might be my new favorite! They’re super flavorful, fresh, and healthy! I served them on butter lettuce and then topped with sliced avocado and a creamy/spicy broccoli slaw. The creamy slaw and avocado really balances out the spice!

These could also be made in the air fryer! Grilling is fun this time of year. However, I have to say I prefer air frying. It’s easy and quick. They also come out perfectly juicy each time! Air fryers for the win.

This chicken burger recipe is great for meal prep! I served them on Trader Joe’s frozen garlic naan. I just heat the naan up in the oven and add avocado, the burger, and the slaw! Then I fold it and eat it like a sandwich. It’s so delicious and full of flavor.

You could also eat these on normal buns or lettuce wraps. Sometimes I’ll serve them over a big salad. The options are really endless. But, you can’t go wrong with any of them! It’s all about what you’re craving.

I hope you enjoy these Thai chicken burgers as much as I do!

Thai Chicken Burgers

Ingredients

Scale

Burgers
1 lb ground chicken
1 tbsp thai red curry paste
1 lime zested and juiced
1 tbsp sliced green onion
1/2 tsp minced garlic
1 tbsp chopped cilantro
1/2 tsp ground ginger
2 tsp sriracha, optional or to taste
salt and pepper to taste
Broccoli Slaw
8 oz. of broccoli slaw
1/2 a lime, juiced
1/4 cup mayo, or more/less to taste, plain greek yogurt will also work
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp sriracha
2 tbsp chopped cilantro
salt and pepper to taste
For serving
thin sliced avocado, optional
Naan, lettuce wraps, or buns

Instructions

In a small-medium bowl combine all the ingredients for the slaw and refrigerate until ready to eat.

In a medium mixing bowl combine the ingredients for the Thai burgers – make sure to not over mix. Divide into patties.

Grill Method – Heat a grill medium high heat. Add a bit of olive oil to a pan or brush onto the grill so the burgers don’t stick. Cook the burgers for about 4-6 minutes on each side – or until cooked through.

Air Fryer Method – spray air fryer basket and place chicken burgers in the basket with some room in between. Do not over crowd them, cook in batches if need be. Lightly spray burgers with non-stick spray. Cook at 380 degrees F for 13-15 minutes or until they are cooked through.

Serve burgers on naan bread, buns, or lettuce wraps with avocado and the spicy broccoli slaw. Enjoy!

I made these this week and they were a hit with the hubs. we served them on lettuce buns with tomato, avocado, and slaw. I used regular coleslaw instead of broccoli slaw and subbed mayo for greek yogurt. The only thing I would recommend is that if you use greek yogurt, make sure you add a little more lime juice or acv. our slaw came out a little dry and i’m not sure if that was because of the gr. yogurt or because i ran out of lime. overall great recipe and will definitely make again!

Easy and great tastinG. This recipe will Become part of ouR regular rotaTation for the summer. The Red curry paste i had was a little runny, so i added a bit of panko crumbs to bind the burger mixture together. Such a fresh and Flavourful meal.
