Winter margaritas using Trader Joe’s winter wassail punch – the perfect holiday cocktail that is festive and easy to make!
If you’re looking for a holiday cocktail this season, look no further! This one is only a handful of ingredients and tastes like Christmas in margarita form. Trader Joe’s winter wassail punch is a key ingredient here. It has apple, orange and holiday spice flavors that just scream “Happy Holidays.” Normally, I mix this punch with red wine for a sangria type of drink. However, mixing it with tequila was the move. A little Cointreau goes a long way in this drink too.
What you will need for these winter margaritas:
- Silver tequila
- Trader Joe’s winter wassail punch
- Cointreau
- Lime juice
- Salt if desired for the rim
- Rosemary sprigs
- Orange slices
- Cinnamon
The rosemary sprigs aren’t totally necessary. But, they do add a little festive touch. I’m all for going above and beyond during the holidays to make everything a little more special. I always love a salt rim for my margaritas. However, a cinnamon sugar rim would also be delicious. If you like things on the sweeter side that would be a great option.
Other cocktail recipes you will love:
- Honey pear sage margaritas [3]
- Sage palomas [4]
- Strawberry basil margaritas [5]
- Frozen cherry margaritas [6]
I hope you enjoy these winter margaritas with a loved one this holiday season. They’re the perfect sipping drink for gathering around the fireplace, dinner table, or to serve at a holiday party.
