Sage Palomas

These refreshing sage palomas are the perfect easy cocktail to make at home! Simple, light and made with fresh ingredients.

I know a lot of people participated in dry January this year. Or as I like to call it, “damp January.” But, now it’s a brand new month and I think we’re all a little thirsty for a good cocktail. These sage palomas are one of my go-to homemade drinks.

I used to always get a sage grapefruit vodka drink at a restaurant here in Austin. Shout out to Jack Allen’s Kitchen. [3] However, over the years I’ve totally transformed into a tequila drinker. So, I figured I could make a Paloma version! You just need a handful of ingredients to make this super delicious drink. Silver tequila, lime, fresh grapefruit juice, sage leaves, salt, and seltzer.

Other cocktails you will love:

Honey pear margaritas [4]

Strawberry basil margaritas [5]

Crock-Pot boozy hot chocolate [6]

Spicy watermelon margaritas [7]

I hope you enjoy these delicious sage palomas. Cheers!

Sage Palomas

Ingredients

Scale

3 oz. silver tequila
½ a lime, juiced
6 oz. grapefruit juice
4 sage leaves
Seltzer, optional
Sea salt

Instructions

Run a lime slice around the rim of your glasses then fill a shallow bowl or plate with salt.

Gently dip the rim of the glass in the salt until it’s coated.

Muddle 1 sage leaf in each glass then add ice.

In a cocktail shaker add ice, tequila, grapefruit juice, and lime juice.

Shake well.

Pour into prepared glasses and top with seltzer if desired. This will also make the drink less sweet if that’s what you prefer.

Garnish with a sage leaf in each glass.
