Air Fryer Fingerling Potatoes With Harissa Aioli

Potatoes always make the perfect side dish. Whether, it’s mashed potatoes, fries, candied sweet potatoes, scalloped potatoes, or roasted baby red potatoes. The list goes on and on. However, fingerling potatoes are always one of my favorites. Making them in the air fryer is the most easy and quick way to prepare them. Serve them with a delicious dipping sauce and you are set. In this case, it’s a harissa aioli that I ended up drizzling on. It’s packed with flavor.

What is Harissa?

Harissa is a spicy and aromatic chile paste that’s a used a lot in North African and Middle Eastern cooking. Harissa recipes depend on the country but typically include a mixture of smoked hot Chile peppers, oil, garlic and spices like cumin and coriander. Also, it’s pretty spicy so a little bit goes a long way.

I get my harissa paste at Trader Joe’s and I love it, it’s very well balanced. You can find it in most grocery stores or even buy it on Amazon. Just keep in mind, some are mild and spicy. I find the Trader Joe’s one to have the perfect amount of heat.

Air Fryer Fingerling Potatoes With Harissa Aioli


Air fryer fingerling potatoes
1 lb. fingerling potatoes, sliced in half lengthwise
1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
1/4 tsp garlic powder
3/4 tsp salt
pinch of black pepper
Harissa Aioli
1/2 cup mayo
1-2 tbsp harissa paste
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp salt
pinch of black pepper
chopped parsley to taste, optional


In a mixing bowl combine the fingerling potatoes, oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Add potatoes to the air fryer basket. Air fryer at 400 degrees for 15-18 minutes or until crispy enough to your liking. Shaking the basket or tossing around the potatoes half way.

While the potatoes are in the air fryer. Prepare the harissa aioli by combining all of the ingredients in a small mixing bowl. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

Serve fingerling potatoes with a drizzle of the harissa aioli on top, or serve the harissa aioli on the side for dipping.
