It’s all about how you cook this frozen cauliflower gnocchi. That being said, I think the best way is air fried. Next to baking it. The skillet method works too, but it can be tricky and takes some patience. It always comes out crispier in the oven or air fryer. However, some people like a soft/gummier gnocchi texture. But, I love making the cauliflower gnocchi crispy. Click here for my blog post that gives all three cooking methods for cauliflower gnocchi. As well as my recipes using it!

Air Fryer Parmesan Cauliflower Gnocchi Dippers

Ingredients

Scale

1 bag of Trader Joe’s frozen cauliflower gnocchi
1 & 1/2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 – 1 tsp garlic powder
3 tbsp grated parmesan, divided
1/2 tsp dried basil
Salt to taste
Fresh chopped parsley for topping, optional
Trader Joe’s romesco dip for dipping, could also use heated marinara

Instructions

In a mixing bowl combine frozen cauliflower gnocchi, olive oil, salt, garlic powder, dried basil and 1 tbsp of the parmesan. Mix well and add to air fryer basket.

Air fry at 400 degrees F for 10 minutes, shaking the basket half way so that the gnocchi doesn’t stick together.

Top with 2 more tbsp of grated parmesan and spray with non-stick spray.

Air fry again at 400 degrees for 5-7 minutes or until the gnocchi is crispy enough to your liking.

Serve with romesco dip (I heated mine up) and enjoy!

Hi! if you don’t have an air fryer, could you do the oven baked method for this recipe instead? if so, would you follow the same steps and replace with the oven instead of air fryer?

      Amanda Hickman

Yes, they will probably just have to cook longer!

I JUST MADE THESE and they are delicious! I normally find cauliflower gnocchi mushy, but these are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. This is a great gluten free, healthy alternative to fried mozzarella sticks. Yum!
