These little cilantro lime chicken burger sliders are the perfect summer bite. Eat them with a mini Hawaiian roll, lettuce wrap style or my personal favorite – sweet potato bun!
I prep a bunch of these and eat them for lunch through-out the week for a simple and easy meal. They’re also loaded with flavor. They’re so good with a slice of avocado, some lettuce and my favorite Sir Kensington’s chipotle mayo.
Sliders are such a fun summer snack/meal. I also have my salmon burger sliders and they are SO delicious. However, I’m a big fan of these chicken burger sliders because they are extremely cheap to make. Ground chicken is very affordable along with the rest of the ingredients.Print
Cilantro Lime Chicken Burger Sliders
1 lb. ground chicken
2 tbsp cilantro, finely chopped
1 lime, juiced
1/2 tsp salt
pinch of pepper
1/4 cup white onion, chopped
1 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp cumin
1/2 jalapeno, seeded and finely chopped (optional)
In a medium mixing bowl combine all your ingredients. Don’t over-mix. Form into 8 small slider patties.
Heat large skillet (with a tbsp of olive oil) or the grill to medium-high heat and cook each burger for about 5 minutes per side or until they are cooked through.
Eat with a bun, lettuce wrap, sweet potato bun, or just on a plate! My favorite toppings are lettuce, avocado and chipotle mayo!
To make sweet potato buns cut a large sweet potato into 1/4 inch rounds and bake at 375 on a lined baking sheet with parchment paper in a single layer for 16-20 minutes, flipping them halfway.
