Apple Cheddar Chicken Salad

Apple cheddar chicken salad – a bed of romaine topped with chicken, shaved cheddar, apple, pecans, crumbled bacon and a honey dijon dressing!

This salad combination is one of my favorites! It’s like the salad version of my apple cheddar stuffed chicken. The juicy chicken, crisp sliced apple and shaved cheddar go so well together. Then add some pecans and crumbled bacon to give it some crunch!

What you’ll need for this recipe:

Chicken, romaine lettuce, apple, cheddar cheese, pecans, bacon, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, dijon, honey, garlic powder, salt and pepper!

Apple Cheddar Chicken Salad



1 lb. chicken breast, cooked and cut into pieces
2 heads of romaine lettuce, chopped
1 red apple, sliced or chopped
3 oz. cheddar cheese, cut into cubes
1/3 cup pecans, roughly chopped
23 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
3 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp dijon, or to taste
1 tsp honey
pinch of garlic powder

salt and pepper to taste


First make your salad dressing by mixing all the ingredients in a small bowl. Taste and adjust if needed. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Assemble your salads by combining romaine, chicken, apple, cheese, pecans and crumbled bacon.

Drizzle with desired amount of salad dressing and enjoy!
