Healthier Apple Crisp

A delicious and goo-ey apple crisp made with better for you ingredients!

Healthy Apple Crisp

This apple crisp is officially my favorite fall dessert. I topped mine with Nada Moo’s snickerdoodle ice cream and it was absolutely epic. It’s sweetened with maple syrup and I used old fashioned oats and almond flour. If you can find gluten free oats (Bob’s Red Mill makes some) it will be gluten-free.

1 tbsp arrowroot powder

2 tbsp maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla

1 cup old fashioned oats

1/4 cup almond flour

2 tbsp maple syrup

pinch of salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and spray an 8 inch baking dish or pie pan with non-stick cooking spray.

Combine all the filling ingredients in a medium mixing bowl. Pour the filling into the prepared baking dish.

Next combine all the crust ingredients then top it over the filling ingredients in an even layer.

Bake for 45-55 minutes or until golden brown on top.
