Sweet and savory fig balsamic naan flatbreads with goat cheese, mozzarella, and fresh basil – the perfect summer appetizer!

Fig Balsamic Naan Flatbreads - Dash of Mandi

It’s finally fig season! Figs have such a short window of being in season. So, I always try to take advantage of them when they are around. I snagged a container from Trader Joe’s the other day and have been eating them constantly since. I love throwing them in berry, goat cheese and cucumber salads. Then dressing it with a balsamic vinaigrette. It’s so fresh and summery. However, these fig balsamic naan flatbreads are a MUST for this fig season. The flavors are on point with this one. Also, I’m just a huge fan of naan flatbreads in general.

Another bonus for this recipe is that it’s insanely easy. But, you know that’s my theme now a days 😉 I get my naan flatbread from Trader Joe’s in the bread/bakery section. It’s so soft and fresh. However, they also have some frozen naan options if you want something that will last longer. I love the garlic option.

What you will need for this recipe:

  • Naan
  • Olive oil
  • Goat cheese
  • Shredded mozzarella
  • Fresh figs

These fig balsamic naan flatbreads are definitely heavy on the sweet side. However, it also has some great savory flavors thrown into the mix. If you want to go more savory, add some prosciutto or garlic to the mix. But, personally I love the flavors in this. Slice it up and it’s amazing for a little appetizer or snack shared with friends or family. Or in my case, just my husband. We devoured these pretty quickly as a meal.
